I realize keeping a stocked pantry is not always a priority or really necessary for everyone, but below is a quick pantry guide of items that I always like to keep on hand in case the urge to cook or bake strikes. This doesn’t cover everything, but it is a great start!
Print this list and take it with you next time you head to the market, or just take a quick inventory of what you have in your pantry, and fill in the blanks as you see fit!
Also, I try to buy organic whenever possible. I didn’t include “organic” in front of every item because that just seemed silly. Instead, I thought I would just share that little caveat here. When it comes to organic use your judgement for what works best for you, your family, and your budget.
Included in parentheses are my preferred brands for many of the items. Over the years I have tried many products, but the brands listed I find the most valuable. I trust them for consistent results, quality, flavor, and nutrition. Of course you can buy whatever brands you prefer, this is just an idea for the ones I use every day.
