I don’t know about you, but I keep homemade tacos on rotation monthly. Okay fine, sometimes weekly. But I cringe every time I rip open one of those seasoning packets and realize all of the unnecessary and terrible ingredients plaguing my meal. Not anymore! I started doing some research and taste testing, and came up with the best homemade taco seasoning ever! Not only is it cheaper than the packaged stuff, it tastes a million times better because there are no chemicals or preservatives. You know exactly what is going in it, and what you’re eating. Plus, you never have to worry about having it on hand when your taco craving hits. Taco night is about to get a big upgrade!

The Best Homemade Taco SeasoningPrint Recipe
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 2 Tbsp ground cumin
- 2 Tbsp paprika
- 1 Tbsp ground coriander
- 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- 1 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1/4 cup dried onion (NOT onion powder!)
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Combine all spices in a small bowl, and store in an airtight container
Use about 2 Tbsp of seasoning mix and 1/3 of a cup of water per pound of meat, or to taste.
