How to Make Stovetop Popcorn - 4 Flavors


Homemade popcorn is such a simple and delicious snack!  With just a few simple ingredients you can make healthy popcorn at home.  I share how to make stovetop popcorn as well as four delicious flavors!


  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil

For Simply Salted:

  • 1/2 tsp pink salt

For Everything Bagel:

  • 2 Tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning

For Parmesan Garlic:

  • ½ tsp pink salt
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese

For Vegan Cheesy Taco:

  • ½ tsp pink salt
  • 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin


  1. Assemble your desired flavoring by combining all ingredients together in a small bowl.  Stir, and set aside.
  2. Add the oil to a heavy-bottomed pot over medium high heat.
  3. Add three kernels, and cover.  When one or more of the kernels pops, add the remaining popcorn kernels and cover.
  4. Gently shake the pot over the heat to prevent the kernels from burning.  Continue shaking until most kernels have popped and you can't hear many un-popped ones moving against the bottom of the pan.
  5. Turn off the heat and continue to shake, in case there are any additional kernels that pop.
  6. Add your prepared seasoning blend, cover, and shake to evenly coat the popcorn.  Transfer to a large bowl to serve.
